Archie Smith gave an overview of the agenda.
He then discussed a resolution that tied the sheriff’s salary to the undersheriff’s salary. The resolution
was passed in December 2016.
Commissioner Jackson discussed the lack of use of the salary commission, which generally would set the
sheriff’s pay.
Archie said he would again look at comparable.
William Halstead, Paul Masiello and Melissa Bohm left at 10:45 a.m.
Archie discussed a question regarding a part-time employee’s insurance.
The board said they would like to add Teamsters medical to the agenda for the next Prosecutor’s
Update.
Archie said he is working on the facilities assistant manager position.
Archie gave an overview of the Public Sector Project Consultants (PSPC), which uses the Factor
Evaluation System (FES).
The group discussed compression and succession planning.
At 11:20 a.m., the board announced it would hold private union discussions for 15 minutes.
At 11:35 a.m., the board extended its private union discussions for 10 minutes.
