2017-08-14 Monday WrapMonday Wrap-Up August 14, 2017 Start time- 9:05 a.m. Attendees: Commissioner Stamper, Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson, Paulette Young, Erik Martin, Archie Smith Guests: Susan DeLaire, Miss Lewis County Kennedy Woods Recorder: Rachel Hunt The group discussed the events of the Morton Loggers Jubilee Commissioner Fund made a motion to remove the resolution to approve county representation Commissioner Jackson seconded the motion The motion carried 3-0. The commissioners discussed various people who would be interested in being on a citizens group in regards to the budget. Commissioner Fund discussed the implications of not having a state capital budget for the requests made to the Chehalis Basin Board. The group discussed how dwindling state funds could affect county services. Commissioner Fund reviewed the submitted community member applications. The Commissioners discussed the cities who want the senior centers buildings back. Commissioner Stamper expressed concern over the potential lease rates for senior center buildings. Susan DeLaire asked for further clarification on the potential lease rates which were quoted in the Chronicle. Paulette Young joined the meeting at 9:29 a.m. and left at 9:32 when the commissioners had no further questions about the resolution which was pulled from the August 14, 2017 BOCC Business Meeting agenda. Susan DeLaire asked about the current use of the Twin City senior center. The BOCC discussed the Blue Ribbon Task Force in regards to focusing on their recommendation. Miss Lewis County Kennedy Woods joined the meeting at 9:39 a.m. Erik Martin joined the meeting at 9:41 a.m. Commissioner Jackson stepped out of the meeting at 9:42 a.m. Commissioner Stamper and Fund discussed the calendar for the coming week. Commissioner Fund requested the Risk Update on August 15 2017 being moved to 1:15 p.m. Commissioner Jackson reentered the meeting at 9:49 a.m. Meeting ended at 9:51 a.m.
