Danette York discussed a resolution to commit financial resources for specific purposes for the animal shelter in Fund 301. Steve Walton and Steve Wohld discussed a resolution to approve an amended agreement with Homewav to continue Video Visitation and Video Arraignment services. PULLED: A resolution to approve Law, Lyman, Daniel, Kamerrer & Bogdanovich, P.S. to represent county employees: Danette York, Amy Hanson and Gabriel Frase in a litigation case in which all three are named as defendants. Danette York discussed a resolution to approve Contract Amendment #1 between Lewis County and Thurston County for Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) Supervisory Services. Erik Martin discussed a resolution for the temporary closure of a portion of Lakeside Drive to all through traffic. Erik Martin discussed a hearing to accept the establishment of a change in Roundtree Road. Erik Martin discussed a hearing to consent to transfer of controlling interest in Astound Broadband, LLC, which holds a non-exclusive franchise for telecommunication facilities on road rights of way in Lewis County. LATE ADD: Lee Napier discussed a resolution for a $2.8 million grant award for the Toledo Airport. Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move one (1) Presentation, two (2) Consent items, four (4) Deliberation items, and two (2) Hearings to the Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Fund seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. Becky Butler discussed the budget process. Archie Smith left at 9:46 a.m. Roundtable Becky Butler discussed budget amendments and payouts. She also discussed the need for recognition of Sept. 11 during the Sept. 11, 2017, BOCC meeting. Paulette Young reminded the group to name PDR points of contact for each department / office. Danette York asked if the county was doing a United Way table. Danette York discussed the Request for Proposal for the one-tenth of 1 percent tax. Becky asked whether Shad Hail of the juvenile court could ask for one-tenth of 1 percent funding. Danette also discussed the Naloxone grant to combat opioid overdoses. Erik Martin said interviews are planned for the end of the week and the following week. Lee Napier said a Mineral RV operator is upset with the burn restrictions. The group discussed the marbled murrelet. Commissioner Fund said a woman at the previous night’s Centralia City Council meeting said Tacoma area homeless individuals indicated they were given bus tickets to relocate to Lewis County.
