Commissioner Jackson made a motion to add the resolution to accept a grant offer to construct various
site improvements at the South Lewis County Airport and add the Notice of Hearing for the 3rd 2017
budget amendment.
Commissioner Stamper seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3-0.
The group discussed the status of the Hank lawsuit.
Becky further outlined what is in the notice which will be added to the 8/28 legislative meeting.
Archie briefed the BOCC on a union decision. Archie requested a future meeting with the BOCC to be
able to make a decision.
Commissioner Fund made a motion to give $1,000 to the George Washington statue fund out of the
historical preservation fund.
Commissioner Stamper seconded the motion
Motion carried 3-0.
The Board discussed the Blue Ribbon Task Force’s recommendation and other community member’s
input on the topic.
The group discussed the date and time for the upcoming mayors’ meeting. BOCC decided to move it to
1:00 p.m. on the 8th of September.
The BOCC discussed the status of the possibility of a bus being purchased by Twin Transit.
Commissioner Fund discussed potential members of the Budget Advisory group.
