2017-10-04 Update with EDCMeeting with the Economic Development Council

Matt discussed his conversation with Erik Martin regarding lobbying. The cost is $60,000 per year.
During his briefing Erik recommended Matt join the Public Works update. Matt thinks this community is
losing out because we don’t have a lobbyist representing our issues.
.09 Committee is requesting Lee Coumbs be appointed for the remainder of the year. The Committee
request that a sunset be places on each application. The two moving forward have a two year sunset
policy included with the agreement.
.09 Committee is also requesting alternates being appointed.
On Monday there will be an updated CEDs list with the .09 applicants on the list. EDA has approved the
format.
Matt has a draft CEDs document.
Commissioner Stamper left the meeting at 3:25 p.m.
