Commissioner Fund discussed a proclamation honoring former Sheriff William “Bill” Wiester. Lee Napier discussed a Notice of Public Hearing to consider ordinance 1281, consent to transfer of a controlling interest in WaveDivision I, LLC, which holds a non-exclusive franchise for a cable television system Tim Fife joined at 9:07 a.m. Commissioner Stamper discussed a Notice of Public Hearing to consider Ordinance 1282, amending portions of Chapter 9.20 of the Lewis County Code pertaining to the Law and Justice Council. Lee Napier discussed a resolution to modify restrictions on outdoor burning to allow recreational fires effective 12:01 a.m. Oct. 6, 2017, and open burning by permit throughout unincorporated Lewis County effective 12:01 a.m. Oct. 16, 2017. Erik Martin discussed a resolution approving a Certification Acceptance (CA) Qualification Agreement between Lewis County and Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), and authorizing signatures thereon. Erik Martin discussed a resolution approving an interlocal agreement between Lewis County and Mason County regarding work by county crews and authorizing signatures thereon. He said Mason County is asking for striping work. Archie Smith discussed a resolution to authorize initial placement of Accounting Specialist Lead on the Lewis County Salary Grid (13 STEP M GRID) for Non-Union Help. Archie Smith discussed a resolution approving a Collective Bargaining Agreement with Lewis County and Teamsters 252 Representing Juvenile Probation & Clerical. Lee Napier discussed a hearing for Ordinance 1278, an ordinance to adopt the revisions to the Lewis County Shoreline Master Program (SMP). Lee Napier discussed a hearing for Ordinance 1279, an ordinance to amend Lewis County Code (LCC) Chapter 17.25 and Section 18.05.120 to reflect the revisions to the Lewis County Shoreline Master Program (SMP). Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move two presentations, two Notice items, two Consent items, five Deliberation items and two Hearings to the Monday, Oct. 16, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Fund seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. Roundtable Lee Napier said she would be in Packwood on Friday. Erik Martin invited the group to meet the new traffic engineer. Bill Teitzel said the county is tackling an avian influenza problem in the Adna area. Tawni Shepherd discussed her travel plans. Steve Wohld said storage server upgrades over the weekend were successful. He said a Spillman patch also has been completed. He urged the group to offload any unneeded stored data. Becky Butler said budget conversations will take place the following week. Steve Walton said the budget advisory committee members plan to tour the juvenile detention center. Sheila Gray discussed an upcoming pressure cooker event as well as a workshop planned for a goat parasite. She also discussed the upcoming state 4-H and Women in Ag events. Archie Smith said it appears the county will be accepted into PEBB. He said the back-up plan is a Kaiser PPO. He said he would be out of the office Friday. Commissioner Fund discussed a Pe Ell meeting held the previous night. Commissioner Fund and Commissioner Stamper thanked the group for efforts and participation in the Legislative Roundtable. Susan DeLaire discussed a photography effort taking place in Morton. The group discussed having a “wear pink” day in recognition of breast cancer awareness. Meeting ended at 9:49 a.m.
