He provided a recommended position for the BOCC to take regarding the reassignment of Fiscal personnel. Steve said offices will receive the following: Roads: 4.5 positions Community Development: 0.5 position Health: Two positions IT: 0.50 position Facilities: 0.50 position Fair: Kelly being trained BOCC and Budget: TBD HR and Risk: Minimal tasks will return to Risk Facilities Rental agreement for the senior buildings has been drafted. Alcohol addendum also being worked on. Steve said the seniors emptied out the items being housed at the Star Tavern. He said the electrical upgrade is nearly complete. Steve said construction of the Law and Justice boiler shed begins this week. Steve said Doug met with the Cowboy Church. He said the church has signed a lease for October and half of November. Steve said Doug is creating a proposal to increase security in the BOCC office as well as the Auditor’s Office. Steve said the Capital Facilities Planning committee has three items for the BOCC’s approval: • BOCC small meeting room chairs (Fund 301): $5,000 • Juvenile fencing (Fund 310): $16,000 • Packwood Skate Creek Road property The commissioners were not in favor of replacing the chairs. Commissioner Fund and Commissioner Jackson approved of the juvenile fencing. The group tabled discussions about Skate Creek. Fair Steve said cold weather shelters / modulars are being installed at the fair. The shelters would be open when the overnight temperatures fall below 38 degrees. Steve said a job description for Discover Lewis County is in the works. He also said Tamara Hayes attended the previous week’s Washington State Fair Association Conference.
