Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move two resolutions, one appointing Elizabeth Hicker to the
LMTAAA and the other to approve a contract with the Lewis County Seniors Board to the Monday BOCC
agenda. Commissioner Fund seconded the motion.
Ron Averill said the county’s proposed Alcohol Addendum is overly restrictive.
Steve Walton joined the meeting at 9:09 a.m.
Commissioner Jackson said the addendum can be revisited after the first of the year if needed.
Ron said he’d like to meet with Paulette Young, Glenn Carter, Steve Walton and the board to further
discuss the matter.
Motion passed 2-0.
Becky Butler said Steve Mansfield had requested an amendment for $100,000 for 911 for 2017 due to
overtime costs, salary allocations, and payouts.
Commissioner Jackson made a motion to approve a $100,000 Current Expense transfer to 911.
Commissioner Fund seconded.
Motion passed 2-0.
Commissioner Fund and the group discussed the state’s efforts to create centralized services.
Commissioner Fund said she didn’t think the BOCC would need the full $20,000 for a consultant.
The group discussed office safety.
Becky discussed the evening’s upcoming budget presentation as well as a levy correction that will affect
the budget.
