Steve Walton said the contribution agreement is being drafted. He said his plan is to present the
resolution Dec. 11.
Steve said Facilities is working on a relocation plan regarding the Fiscal department. He said Family
Support would need prior approval for the move. Doug Carey said the state likely would save money if
Family Support were to move out of the James Building. Steve said the state likely would tour the facility
the following week.
Steve said the reconfigurations likely could take place by spring 2018.
Steve said Risk / HR and DEM space needs also need to be revisited. The group discussed options for the
various spaces.
Commissioner Stamper joined the meeting at 3:47 p.m.
Steve said the cold weather shelter will be open the next six nights.
Steve said the digital marketing position has been posted and the first wave of applications will be
reviewed Dec. 7.
Steve discussed the possibility of maintaining rental fees for repeat customers and increasing fees for
new customers at the fairgrounds. He discussed the online sale of holiday gift packs.
Steve said the next fair commission is planned for Dec. 5. He said Tamara Hayes will host a public
meeting regarding the fair on Jan. 23.
Doug discussed allowing the Boy Scouts to serve cocoa out of the Star complex instead of the credit
union building.
Steve said faulty fire alarm sensors have been replaced.
Steve and Doug said they are working on a fee schedule for entities that want to rent use of county
spaces.
Commissioner Stamper discussed the Packwood riverfront property.
Steve discussed compression concerns regarding Matt Patana’s position. He said the position scored at
24. He said Doug Carey’s position should be at least two grades higher, which would place it at a 26 or
27.
Steve said Anna, a custodian, plans to retire.
Steve said a custodian has chosen not to leave voluntarily.
Commissioner Jackson discussed the Morton building at which the council meets. Doug said two
recording devises have been purchased.
