Steve Walton said a contribution for the Lewis County Seniors will be presented to the BOCC on
Monday, Dec. 18. He said the Budget Office will be closed the evening of Dec. 21 and all day Dec. 22 and
26. He said the Fiscal employees for Public Works will move Jan. 16.
Steve gave the following Facilities updates:
Relocation plan: State was to tour potential site for Family Support.
Personnel: Employee has indicated they may retire.
CFP: Treasurer has proposed moving $2 million in capital facilities fund investments to two separate $1
million 18- to 36-month investments that will generate more interest revenue.
508 shop: Roofing repairs needed.
Steve gave the following Fair updates:
Cold weather shelter: Men’s area at capacity. Women’s area near capacity. He discussed work to keep
the restrooms clean and keep guests on paved paths.
Digital Marketing position: Pool of 35 applicants has been narrowed to 10. Target date for hiring is the
beginning of February.
Fair Commission: Met Dec. 5 and conducted a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats
(SWOT) analysis.
Public meeting planned for Jan. 23: Community meeting about the fair.
Meeting with Centralia: Planned for Dec. 14.
Commissioner Fund left at 3:07 p.m.
Finance system: Payroll and HR phase.
