Matt Matayoshi said he is waiting to hear back from various entities regarding which elected official
they would like to see on the .09 committee. The commissioners directed county staff to reach out to
the Port of Centralia.
Mickelsen is not on the list of projects being held up due to I-976 funding cuts. Erik Martin directed
county staff to set up a BOCC meeting with Public Works and the County Engineer.
Matt discussed future Smart Tank plans.
Matt said he is creating a synthesized economic impact data related to flooding to present to legislators
as they discuss a possible water retention facility.
Matt provided updates on:
• IPAT
• Benaroya
• The Feb. 20 EDC banquet
Commissioner Stamper said he would meet with Lee Grose regarding the East Lewis County PDA later in
the day. He asked if the EDC can help with the group’s marketing efforts. Matt said he would reach out
to the Packwood business group and ask them to share a flyer about the site. Matt also said the group
can list his phone number on its sign for the site.
The commissioners directed Matt to provide an updated policy that they can adopt by resolution.
