Commissioner Stamper discussed a call for bids for the official newspaper to publish all of Lewis
County’s legal and other official notices for one year beginning July 1, 2020.
Josh Metcalf discussed the necessary acquisition of additional right of way for Jackson Hwy South MP
2.108, Toledo. He said the county will meet with two of the property owners later in the week.
Doug Carey discussed a request for qualifications for engineering and architectural Services Animal
Shelter Building. Doug said an architect will be hired to perform design work.
Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution authorizing a cash-flow loan from Current Expense Fund No. 0010 to
Cowlitz River Basin Subzone Fund 1260.
Lee Napier discussed proposed action to enact Ordinance 1314, a moratorium upon certain permits
within the rural and resource lands of Lewis County.
Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to set an emergency load limit for Tucker Road.
Commissioner Fund made a motion to move three notice items, two consent items, two deliberation
items and one hearing to the Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Jackson seconded the motion.
Motion passed 3-0.
Roundtable
Lara McRea discussed the strategic planning consultant’s upcoming visit.
JP Anderson discussed upcoming interviews.
Matt Jaeger urged caution in the wake of a cyberattack in Tillamook, Ore.
Steve Wohld discussed plans for the buildings the county purchased as well as a newly-posted position.
Josh Metcalf said he will have a late add for Feb. 3: call for bids for the airport taxiway.
Lee Napier discussed the Planning Commission’s meeting the previous day as well outreach efforts
Community Development is undertaking.
Gary Fredricks discussed plans to hold community meetings.
Commissioner Fund discussed her meeting with state leaders earlier in the morning, letters of support
for HB 1154 and plans for Recreation Park.
Commissioner Jackson discussed his upcoming meetings regarding affordable housing as well as changes
to the Napavine traffic.
Commissioner Fund directed staff to send a thank-you letter to Mary Astrid for her work on the Purple
Heart County.
Commissioner Stamper discussed a meeting about the marbled murrelet that took place the previous
night.
