Mackey Smith said 250 surveys have been submitted online. He said his goal is to collect 1,000
responses.
Mackey said he has held two presentations. He said 35 people attended the meeting with the Rotary
and 65 attended the meeting at the senior center in Winlock.
Mackey outlined some of the meetings planned for the remainder of the week.
The commissioners named other groups Tanner could reach out to, such as the Mineral Lions Club, the
Centralia Downtown Association, the Ministerial Association and others.
The group discussed affordable housing and homelessness.
Commissioner Stamper left at 2:24 p.m. and returned at 2:29 p.m.
Mackey discussed the outreach planned for February and March. He said the analysis phase will take
place thereafter. He said he’ll then draft a report outlining the comments. He said he and the advisory
group will release a draft of the plan in April and then reach out to department heads and others for
feedback.
Mackey said the plan could be adopted in May. The day after adoption, he said, he would meet with
staff to determine who will do what by when.
The group discussed topics already addressed by residents, including taxation, flooding, zoning, etc.
