Ron Averill comments:
• Eliminate redundancy.
• The money is earmarked for Nutrition only, so the county shouldn’t need to know about the rest
of the finances.
Becky Butler noted that the information about the enrichment programs was provided in the past.
Ron said the group did not have to provide its profit and loss statement in the past.
Eric Eisenberg discussed the use of similar language in other agreements. He noted that the Lewis
County Seniors group is asking for less stringent contract language for the $100,000.
Commissioner Jackson discussed the need to identify ways the county can help the group become self-
sustaining.
Glenda Forga discussed the need to be included in meetings and discussions related to the Lewis County
Seniors. She discussed the need to create a long-term plan.
Glenda said the group is closing one day of enrichment services – Fridays – in Packwood.
Ron said LMTAAA pays roughly $3.71 per meal but it costs the group roughly $10 per meal.
Erik Martin left at 3:43 p.m.
The group further reviewed the language in the contract.
The group said they would meet again at 9 a.m. Feb. 6.
