BOCC AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY
Resolution: 20-083 BOCC Meeting Date: March 9, 2020
Suggested Wording for Agenda Item: Agenda Type: Legal Notice
Call for bids (Re-Bid after zero bids received from Resolution 20-028) for the material purchase of a
precast concrete slab/girder bridge (Cousins Rd. MP 3.15, CMP 1502)
Contact: Tim Fife Phone: 360-740-2711
Department: PW - Public Works
Description:
This Resolution will re-issue a call for bids for the material purchase of a 45-foot long precast
concrete slab/girder bridge for the Cousins Rd. MP 3.15 Culvert Replacement Project.
A Bid Call was previously advertised (Resolution 20-028) and Lewis County received zero bids for
this material supply request. Manufacturers were contacted and they expressed concerns over an
already busy year and a few items that were part of the original bid (specifically waterproofing,
sealant and guardrail). The contract requirements have been revised to limit this request to items
precast concrete manufacturers could normally produce without coordinating services outside their
normal operations. Bids for this proposal shall be submitted to the Clerk of the BOCC (351 N.W.
North Street, Room 210, CMS-01, Chehalis, WA 98532) by or before 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March
24, 2020, and will be opened on or after 11:00 a.m. on March 24, 2020, subject to official proposal
addenda that establishes an alternate bid due date or opening time.
