LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 20-096
APPROVING THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
DIRECTOR TO REVIEW, NEGOTIATE, ADMINISTER
AND SIGN A CONTRACT WITH EVERBRIDGE INC. FOR
LEWIS COUNTY ALERT WARNING AND NOTIFICATION
SERVICES
WHEREAS, effective January 27, 2020, Josh Metcalf was appointed Director of
Emergency Management; and
WHEREAS, The Director of Emergency Management has the responsibility to review,
negotiate, administer and sign the service contract with Everbridge Inc. to provide the
Lewis County Alert warning and notification system; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County provides alert warnings and notifications to citizens through a
variety of methods. The primary method of delivering this service is through an outside
vendor; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County has a service agreement with the vendor to help enhance
and ensure delivery of countywide alerts, warnings and notifications. This service
agreement expires on March 28, 2020.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)
authorizes the Director of Emergency Management to review, negotiate, administer and
sign a contract with Everbridge Inc. for Lewis County Alert warning and notification
services.
