Jonathan Meyer said he is proposing a two- or three-month contract with Janelle Kambich at a rate of
$50 per hour, noting that her departure during the COVID-19 pandemic left little time to train her
successors.
Becky Butler asked if Janelle would have to have a 1099. Steve Wohld said Janelle also may have to pay
self-employment taxes. The group said they would research the questions and work on a proposal for
April 6.
At 2:42 p.m., Commissioner Jackson announced that the Board was going into Executive Session under
RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) for 10 minutes to discuss the governor’s proclamation as it applies to the Open
Public Meetings Act.
Executive Session ended at 2:52 p.m. Commissioner Jackson noted that no decisions had been made.
