Jonathan Meyer discussed having Lewis County take over seizures and forfeitures for JNET. He said he
would further discuss the matter later in the day.
Jonathan Meyer said he has reached out to Chelan, Cowlitz and Mason counties. The group discussed
counties’ resolutions regarding the governor’s restrictions.
The group discussed statewide closures and area counties’ responses, as well as Lewis County’s plan to
treat permitting process as separate from construction.
Erik Martin said Lewis County plans to process permits but to include a disclaimer indicating that the
issuance of a permit does not mean the county believes the work meets the guidelines set forth by the
governor’s Stay Home, Stay Healthy order.
At 2:28 p.m., Commissioner Stamper announced that the Board was going into Executive Session under
RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) and RCW 42.30.110(1)(b) for 15 minutes to discuss pending and/or potential
litigation as well as a property transfer.
At 2:43 p.m., the Board extended Executive Session for 3 minutes.
Executive Session ended at 2:46 p.m. Commissioner Stamper noted that no decisions had been made.
Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move to the 3 p.m. April 21 meeting two items: the Hampton
Lumber litigation and the Fireman’s Fund settlement.
Commissioner Stamper seconded.
Motion passed 2-0.
