Approve the purchase of HVAC disinfection units BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 20-177
APPROVING PURCHASE OF HVAC DISINFECTION
UNITS
WHEREAS, the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted Lewis County operations
significantly and is requiring changes to be implemented to operations and buildings to
meet social distancing requirements; and
WHEREAS, one of the components of modern buildings is a central heating,
ventilating, and air conditioning system which circulates air throughout the various
public buildings; and
WHEREAS, the REME Halo systems provides disinfection to the HVAC system and
reduces odors and increases filtration efficiency; and
WHEREAS, bids were solicited from the Small works roster and Sunset Air provided the
bid which best met the specifications and requirements.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Sunset Air of Lacey, WA be awarded a
contract for $71,695.00 to provide and install 55 REME Halo LED units, produce
engineered record drawings to provide energy code compliance; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Internal Services be
authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.
