IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 20-201
APPROVING AMENDMENT #1 TO MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN VALLEY VIEW HEALTH
CENTER AND LEWIS COUNTY TO REDUCE AMOUNT
THAT PROVIDES SERVICES THROUGH CARES ACT
FUNDING
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), Lewis County, Washington,
has reviewed Amendment #1 to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between
Lewis County and Valley View Health Center for the period of May 21, 2020, through
December 31, 2020; and
WHEREAS, funding is reduced by $100,000 for a new total of $300,000 to remove the
two full time Spanish-speaking case management/culturally appropriate outreach
education COVID-19 positions; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of
said contract for Lewis County.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that MOU Amendment #1 between Valley View
Health Center and Lewis County in the amount reduced by $100,000 for a new total of
$300,000 from May 21, 2020, through December 31, 2020, is hereby approved and the
Director of Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the same.

The purpose of this amendment is to:

It is mutually agreed therefore that the original MOU Valley View Health Center Memorandum
of Understanding COVID-19 is hereby amended as follows and effective June 3rd, 2020.
All other terms and conditions of the original contract and any subsequent amendments hereto
remain in full force and effect. The parties signing below represent they have read and
understand this amendment, and have the authority to execute this amendment.
