LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 20-209
PROPOSED NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO
CONSIDER A BOUNDARY LINE ADJUSTMENT AND AN
EASEMENT BETWEEN LEWIS COUNTY PROPERTY
AND AN ADJACENT PROPERTY ON CENTER STREET,
CHEHALIS, WA
WHEREAS, LCC 3.30.005 and RCW 36.34 give Lewis County legislative authority to
dispose of County properties; and
WHEREAS, the adjoining owner, Richard Graham, and the County would mutually
benefit from altering the property boundary between our respective parcels,
#003693000000, #003695000000, #003694000000, #003696000000, and
#003696001000; and
WHEREAS, the exchange of property would clear a long standing encroachment; and
WHEREAS, the granting of a boundary line adjustment will provide access to Lewis
County property for maintenance; and
WHEREAS, an easement will be granted to Lewis County to maintain the property.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board will hold a public hearing on the
boundary line adjustment request on July 13, 2020, at or after 10:00 a.m. or at such
time later that day as may be necessary due to schedule changes pertaining to
COVID-19. The hearing will take place at the Lewis County Courthouse, Commissioners'
Hearing Room, 351 NW North Street, Chehalis, Wash., as set forth in the Notice of
Public Hearing attached hereto. Interested parties are encouraged to check the
Commissioners' hearing schedule online at https://lewiscountywa.gov/offices/
commissioners/agendas-calendar/ as July 13, 2020, approaches for updated details. The
Clerk of the BOCC is hereby instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary
notifications, posting and publication as required by RCW 36.55.040.
