Contact: Matt Jaeger Phone: 360-740-3346 Department: IT - Information Technology Description: Approving Contract with Ednetics for the purchase and installation services of Cisco Switches, Cisco Firewall, Cisco Umbrella and Cisco AMP licensing. Lewis County Information Technology Services is responsible for the safety and security of the County Network, Data, and Infrastructure. Cyber Security is a critical function and the significant increase of teleworkers during the COVID crisis requires additional services and hardware to safely and securely handle the risks. To summarize, this resolution allows us to install and upgrade Cisco services to provide network visibility for teleworkers, provide endpoint security protection for teleworkers, and upgrade our existing Cisco Firewall to handle the increased workload. Also covered in this Contract are additional Cisco Switches that were already planned for our 2020 budget, not related to COVID. The combining on this existing project allows us to secure additional cost savings we would not otherwise receive.
