Ratify a consultant supplement over $40,000 for Archaeological Investigations Northwest Inc BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 20-252
RATIFY A CONSULTANT SUPPLEMENT OVER $40,000
FOR ARCHAEOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS
NORTHWEST, INC.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 11-437, an after-the-fact Board of County
Commissioners (BOCC) ratification is required for all contracts, projects, agreements,
grant applications, contract amendments, and change orders involving expenditures in
excess of $40,000 but less than $150,000; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works approved a contract that included an option to
extend the contract for one (1) year by mutual agreement, with Archaeological
Investigations Northwest (AINW) in the amount of $100,000.00 on August 5, 2019; and
WHEREAS, this supplement will increase the maximum payable amount to $240,000
(an additional $140,000) in order to accommodate anticipated amendments to existing
Task Order Agreements.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the consultant supplement described above
and previously executed by Public Works is hereby ratified by the Board of County
Commissioners.

and executed on July 31,2019 and identified as Agreement No. ACCR-2019
All provisions in the basic agreement remain in effect except as expressly modified by this supplement.
The changes to the agreement are described as follows:
Section 1, SCOPE OF WORK, is hereby changed to read: •
There is no change in the scope of work.

Section IV, TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION, is amended to change the number of calendar days
for completion of the work to read: The contract is to be amended to extend until July 31,2021.

Section V, PAYMENT, shall be amended as follows:
The new maximum payable amount it raised from $100,000 to $240,000 to accomodate anticipated
amendments to existing Task Order Agreements.
