Agreement No. LA 9268, County Road Project No. 2159-J. Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to approve certain county vehicle as surplus property. Josh said a Crown Victoria from the Sheriff’s Office fleet is being retired. Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to change the name of Water-Sewer District No. 5 to Middle Fork Water and Sewer System. Josh said he would check with Fleet Services to determine whether the county has any vans that will soon be designated as surplus. JP Anderson discussed a resolution to approve an agreement between Lewis County and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide funds for the McKinney Transitional Housing Program in the amount of $161,439. JP Anderson discussed a resolution to approve Amendment A between Lewis County and the Department of Commerce to provide funds in the Consolidated Homeless Grant for the Housing and Essential Needs Program in the amount of $230,710. The commissioners discussed a resolution to approve a .09 (“Distressed Counties”) grant agreement with the Lewis County Public Facilities District. Commissioner Fund made a motion to move one notice item, two consent items and five deliberation items to the Monday, June 29, 2020, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Jackson seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. TO-DO LIST / RECAP Staff: Schedule meeting to discuss Assessor’s Office request for GIS position Commissioner Jackson left at 3:13 p.m. Doug Carey said he will need a letter of support from the commissioners for a historic courthouse grant application. Becky Butler discussed the budget processed. She urged offices and departments to notify Budget and the Auditor’s Office of any upcoming retirements. Gary Fredricks discussed WSU’s push for online services. He noted that drive-up wifi will soon be available at the Lewis County WSU Extension office. Commissioner Fund discussed area city councils’ recent meetings. County Manager Erik Martin said the county has learned of three new cases involving one individual in their 20s, one in their 40s and one in their 50s. He said one is from District 1 and two are for District 2. Erik said he is requesting approval for three PAFs: epidemiologist, nurse and an accounting manager. JP Anderson discussed the three positions. Commissioner Fund and Commissioner Stamper approved the request. Commissioner Fund discussed the governor’s recent mandate regarding masks. Commissioner Stamper said he’d like to set up a future meeting to discuss the Assessor’s Office request for a GIS position. Meeting adjourned at 3:54 p.m.
