2020-07-07 Budget UpdateBudget Update July 7, 2020 3 p.m. Present: Commissioner Stamper, Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson, County Manager Erik Martin, Kelly Sneed, Paul Crowner, Frank Corbin, Tim Murphy, Matt Jaeger, Steve Wohld, Doug Carey, Matt Patana, Scott Mattoon Recorder: Rieva Lester Fleet Services – ER&R: Tim Murphy discussed proposed Fleet Services rates for 2021. IT Services: Steve Wohld discussed proposed IT rates. Facilities Maintenance: Steve Wohld and Doug Carey discussed proposed Facilities Maintenance rates. Doug noted there are increases linked to the jail. Radio Services: Scott Smitherman and Scott Mattoon discussed proposed Radio Services rates. Coronavirus Relief Funds: Becky Butler said the county has been approached regarding distance learning and telehealth grant matches and that the county has learned that CRF cannot be used as a grant match for a USDA grant due the following week. Bond refunding: Becky Butler said Treasurer Arny Davis will present a resolution for a 2009 bond refunding. Becky provided revenue updates on PILT and the PUD privilege tax. Steve Wohld said he and Arny are looking at ways to possibly refund bonds to fund a Juvenile remodel instead of a rebuild. The group discussed plans to accommodate overflow at open public meetings. Becky said Clerk Scott Tinney has learned there will be another $11 million coronavirus distribution statewide. Steve Wohld said plans are underway to outfit the county meeting rooms to accommodate TV, video, etc. Meeting adjourned at 3:55 p.m.
