Extend the temporary closure of Graf Rd. to all through traffic BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
LEWIS COUNTY,WASHINGTON
EXTEND THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE RESOLUTION 20-312
OF GRAF ROAD TO ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
WHEREAS, RCW 47.48.010 gives authority to the county legislative authority to close roads for a
period of time; and
WHEREAS,the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)on June 1, 2020, passed
Resolution 20-173, closing a portion of Graf Road to replace a culvert at milepost 1.01; and
WHEREAS,the closure to all through traffic was to take place beginning June 15, 2020, and ending
September 4, 2020;
WHEREAS,the county needs to extend the closure, which begins at the Scammon Creek Road
intersection to a point 500 feet east of said intersection; and
WHEREAS, Graf Road remains open for local access from either end up to but not beyond the point
of closure and other county roads are available for detour.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that, pursuant to RCW 47.48.010 and .020, Graf Road, beginning
at the Scammon Creek Road intersection to a point 500 feet east of said intersection in Section 13,
Township 14 North, Range 3 West, W.M., shall remain closed to all through traffic through
September 25, 2020.
