APPROVING AMENDMENT FOR CJTA FUNDED
TREATMENT AND RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES
BETWEEN WASHINGTON HEALTH CARE
AUTHORITY AND LEWIS COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), Lewis County,
Washington, has reviewed Contract #K3962 Amendment #2 between Lewis
County and Washington Health Care Authority (HCA) to increase funding for the
period of January 1, 2021, through June 30, 2021; and
WHEREAS, funding is available through Criminal Justice Treatment Account and
Recovery Support (CJTA) to provide treatment and recovery support services to
individuals involved in the criminal justice system in accordance with RCW
71.24.580 in an additional amount of $36,000 for a total amount of $164,664; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution
of said contract for Lewis County.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Agreement K3962 Amendment #2
between Washington HCA and Lewis County in the amount of $36,000 from
January 1, 2021, through June 30, 2021, is hereby approved and the Director of
Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the same.

Description
This amendment is to increase the current contract amount with the Washington
State Health Care Authority (HCA) and funded through the Division of Behavior Health and
Recovery (DBHR). HCA has made available additional funds for counties managing
Criminal Justice Treatment Account contracts and has offered to increase Lewis County's,
effective January 1, 2021. The contract agreement provides Criminal Justice Treatment
Account funds to provide treatment and recovery support services to individuals involved in
the criminal justice system in accordance with RCW 71.24.580.

THIS AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT is between the Washington State Health Care Authority

WHEREAS, HCA and Contractor previously entered into a Contract for Criminal Justice Treatment Act
(CJTA) Funded Treatment and Recovery Support Services, and;
WHEREAS, HCA and Contractor wish to amend the Contract pursuant to Section 4.3 to revise the
funding;
NOW THEREFORE, the parties agree the Contract is amended as follows:
1. The Total Maximum Contract Amount for July 1 , 2020 through June 30, 2021 is increased by
$36,000.00, for a new Total Maximum Contract Amount of $164,664.00. This includes:
The CJTA Supplemental Funding is increased by $36,000.00.
2. Decreased funding will be withheld from January 1, 2021 through June 30, 2021 funding
allocation.
3. This Amendment will be effective January 1, 2021 ("Effective Date").
4. All capitalized terms not otherwise defined herein have the meaning ascribed to them in the
Contract.
5. All other terms and conditions of the Contract remain unchanged and in full force and effect.

authority to execute the Amendment. This Amendment will be binding on HCA only upon signature by
both parties.
