Ratifying consultant supplements over $50,000 for active Public Works project BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 21-042 RATIFYING CONSULTANT SUPPLEMENTS OVER $50,000 FOR AN ACTIVE PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 21-038, Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approval is required for all contracts, projects, agreement, grant applications, contract amendments and change orders involving expenditures totaling between $50,000 and $200,000; and WHEREAS, on May 14, 2018, the Director of Public Works approved an Annual Consultant Agreement with PBS Engineering and Environmental, Inc. for services for Grant Funded Fish Passable Structures. The agreement was for a maximum amount payable of $285,000; and WHEREAS, on June 5, 2019, Supplement #1 was executed to accommodate new anticipated Task Orders and amendments to existing Task Orders in the amount of $140,000; and WHEREAS, additional work needed for the Centralia Alpha and Skate Creek projects necessitated Supplement #2 for an additional $132,000 to complete the Task Orders; and WHEREAS, additional work was discovered to be needed for the Centralia Alpha project, which necessitates Supplement #3 for an additional $50,000 to complete additional Task Orders. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Supplement #1 and #2 previously executed by Public Works and Supplement #3 are hereby approved by the Board of County Commissioners. The changes to the agreement are described as follows: Section 1, SCOPE OF WORK, is hereby changed to read: No change in the scope for open task orders. I I Section IV, TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION, is amended to change the number of calendar days for completion of the work to read: No change in completion date. III Section V, PAYMENT, shall be amended as follows: New maximum payable to be raised $50,000 from $555,000 to $605,000 to accommodate existing Task Orders and amendments to existing Task Orders. as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, and by this reference made a part of this supplement.
