LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 21-074
ACCEPTING AN OFFER TO PURCHASE SURPLUS
PROPERTY LOCATED OFF INDEPENDENCE ROAD
NEAR ROCHESTER, WA
WHEREAS, Resolution 21-003 called for sealed bids on two (2) tax parcels
located off Independence Road near Rochester, Wash.; and
WHEREAS, one bid was received for tax parcel 14511330400 in the amount of
$625.00 and one bid was received for tax parcel 14511320300 in the amount of
$2,201.00, both meet the conditions set forth by Resolution 21-003; and
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the Public Works Department, it appears to
be in the best public interest to accept the highest and only bid of $625.00 for tax
parcel 1451130400 and the highest and only bid of $2,201.00 for tax parcel
14511320300.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the bid for tax parcel 1451130400
located off Independence Road near Rochester, Wash., in the amount of $625.00
by Richard Erickson is accepted and the bid for tax parcel 14511320300 located
off Independence Road near Rochester, Wash., in the amount of $2,201.00 by
Elizabeth DeWreede is accepted, and the Public Works Department is hereby
directed to accept payments and prepare Quit Claim Deeds for review and
signatures by the Board of County Commissioners.

Resolution 21-003, passed by the Board of County Commissioners on January 4, 2021, called for
sealed bids on two (2) tax parcels located off Independence Road near Rochester, WA, to be
opened on February 9, 2021. One bid was received for tax parcel 14511330400 in the amount of
$625.00 by Richard Erickson, of 710 SW 294th St. Federal Way, WA 98023 and one bid was
received for tax parcel 14511320300 in the amount of $2,201.00 by Elizabeth DeWreede, of 13136
201st Ave. SW Rochester, WA 98579.
It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department that the bid of $625.00 be accepted for
tax parcel 14511330400 and the bid of $2,201.00 be accepted for tax parcel 145113203 both
located off Independence Road near Rochester, WA.
After acceptance of the bids the Public Works Department will request payment from the bidders
then prepare Quit Claim Deeds for review and signature by the Board of County Commissioners.
