LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 21-153
APPROVAL OF CONSULTANT SUPPLEMENTS OVER
$50,000 FOR THE ANNUAL HYDROLOGIC,
HYDRAULIC, AND GEOMORPHIC CONSULTANT
CONTRACT WITH NORTHWEST HYDRAULIC
CONSULTANTS INC.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 21-038, Board of County Commissioners
(BOCC) approval is required for all contracts, projects, agreements, grant
applications, contract amendments and change orders involving expenditures
totaling between $50,000 and $200,000; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 21-007 was approved by the BOCC which ratified a
consultant agreement and Supplement #1 and #2 with Northwest Hydraulic
Consultants, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 21-071 was approved by the BOCC which ratified
Supplement #3 with Northwest Hydraulic Consultants, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Supplement #4 was executed by the Public Works Director on March
23, 2021 to accommodate a new anticipated task order in the amount of
$200,000, for analyses and design of the Newaukum Valley Rd Bank Stabilization
project which increased the contract amount from $532,000 to $732,000; and
WHEREAS, Supplement #5 is needed for an additional task orders for design of
the Kiona Rd Revetment Replacement in the amount of $500,000; hydrologic and
hydraulic analyses and design of Shorey Rd Bank Stabilization; and hydrologic
and hydraulic analyses and design of the Pigeon Springs Rd Bank Stabilization
project and will increase the contract total amount from $732,000 to $1,232,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Supplement #4 previously executed
by Public Works is hereby approved by the Board of County Commissioners; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Supplement #5 is hereby
approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
