MILITARY DEPARTMENT FOR THE FEMA
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE
GRANT AND AUTHORIZING SIGNATURES
THEREON
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved the 2020-21
Agreement between Lewis County, Washington, and the Washington State Military
Department for the FEMA Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG)
under Resolution 20-464; and
WHEREAS, the contract amount of $43,594 has already been included in the
budget; and
WHEREAS, the COVID-19 response prevented $4,900 of EMPG funds from being
used as approved by the grantor in the original contract; and
WHEREAS, the 2020-21 Agreement between Lewis County, Washington, and the
Washington State Military Department for the FEMA Emergency Management
Performance Grant (EMPG) has been amended to allow Lewis County to use the
remaining $4,900; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution
of said amendment for Lewis County.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC (1) hereby approves the
Amendment between Lewis County and the Washington State Military
Department, providing $43,594 in EMPG funds and (2) delegates authority to
Lewis County Commissioner Gary Stamper to sign Amendment E21-123 Revised,
Amendment 1 on behalf of Lewis County.

Due to the continued COVID-19 protective measures and limitations,the Subrecipient's staff was only able to complete some
activities previously planned for travel, resulting in the need to adjust the Budget to full expenditure of the grant funds.
The Budget,Attachment E, is amended to transfer funds from Organization>Travel/Per Diem to Goods&Services to purchase
additional outreach materials for LEP populations and other community outreach and preparedness materials.
The Work Plan, Attachment C, and Timeline, Attachment D, are not affected.
Changes are noted in strikethrough and grey highlight.
11. AMENDMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS-
1. The Grant Agreement Amount of$43,594 remains unchanged.
2. The Grant Agreement End Date of August 31, 2021 remains unchanged.
3. Replace the Original Budget,Attachment E,with the attached Revised Budget,Attachment E, as described on Page
2 of this Amendment.
This Amendment is incorporated in and made a part of the Grant Agreement. Except as amended herein, all other terms and
conditions of the Grant Agreement remain in full force and effect. Any reference in the original Grant Agreement or an
Amendment to the "Grant Agreement" shall mean "Grant Agreement as amended". The Department and Subrecipient
acknowledge and accept the terms of this Amendment as identified above, effective on the final date of execution below. By
signing this Amendment, the signatories warrant they have the authority to execute this Amendment.
