LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 21-307
THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF JACKSON
HIGHWAY SOUTH TO ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
WHEREAS, RCW 47.48.010 gives authority to the county legislative authority to
close roads for a period of time; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for Lewis County to replace a culvert on Jackson
Highway South at milepost 0.51; and
WHEREAS, it will be necessary to close Jackson Highway South on each side of
the culvert to all through traffic during the period of such project work; and
WHEREAS, Jackson Highway South will remain open for local access up to, but
not beyond, the point of closure and alternate routes are available to access
residences beyond the closure.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that, pursuant to RCW 47.48.010 and .020,
beginning September 13, 2021, and ending September 17, 2021, Jackson
Highway South at milepost 0.51 in Section 20, Township 11 North, Range 1 West,
W.M., shall be closed to all through traffic.

NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners, Lewis County,
Washington, has approved the temporary closure of Jackson Highway South at milepost
0.51, to all through traffic. During the closure the road will remain open to local access up
to but not beyond the point of closure and alternate routes are available to access
residences beyond the closure. Pursuant to RCW 47.48.010 and .020, effective September
13, 2021 through September 17, 2021 that Jackson Highway South described above in
Section 20, Township 11 North, Range 1 West, W.M., shall be closed to all through traffic.
