LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 21-333
CALL FOR BIDS FOR THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT TENANT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT,
PROJECT #31-2102
WHEREAS, Lewis County adopted its 10-year Capital Facilities Plan on Feb. 8,
2021, as part of Ordinance 1323, which amended the county's Comprehensive
Plan and associated development regulations. The Capital Facilities Plan, which
was designed to identify the Capital Facilities needs of the County government for
the ensuing 10-year period, identified the Public Services Building to be
inadequate to meet the needs of the Community Development Department and
Environmental Health Division located therein; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned Capital Facilities Plan also seeks to create a
campus "one-stop shop" for citizens having business with the various County
offices and departments; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been developed in conjunction with
KMB Architects to renovate a building purchased for this purpose adjacent to the
Historic Courthouse and house the Community Development Department and the
Environmental Health staff. Funding has been obtained using bond funds and
REET funds to complete this renovation.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Internal Services is
instructed to issue a Call for Bids, construction drawings and contract
specifications for the Community Development Tenant Improvement Project,
Project #31-2102. Bids for this project shall be submitted to the Clerk of the BOCC
(351 NW North Street, Room 210, CMS 01, Chehalis, WA 98532) by 2 p.m. on
Wednesday, October 13, 2021, and will be opened at or after 2:30 p.m. October
13, 2021, subject to official proposal addenda that establishes an alternate bid
due date or opening time.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewis County will open sealed bids and publicly read them aloud at or after 2:30 PM.,
on Wednesday, October 13,2021 for the above project. The Bid Opening will take place in the Historical Courthouse, 351
NW North St, on the 2nd floor in the BOCC Hearing Room.
Each bid shall be in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents available digitally from
AlphaGraphics in Olympia,WA. Contact information: 360-956-1010.
Drawings and project manuals will be available to bidders in digital format. Hard copy sets may be requested at bidders'
expense.
