Capital Projects Manager Doug Carey discussed a resolution to list the bids received and contractor
selected for the Juvenile Court Renovation and Addition Project, Project #31-2101.
JP Anderson discussed a resolution to approve an agreement between Cispus Learning Center and Lewis
County for an afterschool program in Morton and the White Pass School District areas.
Geoff Soderquist discussed a resolution to approve Local Agency Agreements and Federal Aid
Prospectuses between Lewis County and Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) for
the federally funded King Road (CRP-2159M) and Sargent Road (CRP-2159N) bridge scour projects.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to move two consent items and three deliberation items to the
Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Pollock seconded the motion.
Motion passed 2-0.
COVID-19
JP said Public Health and Social Services is attempting to increase local COVID-19 testing resources. He
said the plan is to provide antigen tests as well as monoclonal antibody treatments.
Wednesday Workshop
Jail / Juvenile COVID-19 mitigation American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding application: Becky Butler
said the application includes multiple facets, including UV lights, chairs, scheduling system and jail cell
entry software.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to approve the Jail / Juvenile COVID-19 mitigation application
request.
Commissioner Pollock seconded.
Motion passed 2-0.
Announcements
Becky Butler said offices and departments continue to work on their budgets. She said Open Gov
implementation also continues.
Doug Carey said repairs continue in the Health Department in response to the pipe break.
Matt Patana said Facilities is working to process Munis
Connie Riker said the Fairgrounds is working on its campground. She said a reservation system has gone
live. She said Parks and Rec is working on rate reviews for building rentals.
Ross McDowell said DEM staff members are attending a conference in Spokane.
