LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 21-400
2022 MEDICAL RATES TO BE PAID BY LEWIS
COUNTY FOR NON-UNION EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the current health and welfare insurance premium contribution levels
for non-represented employees and for most elected officials were approved by
the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) as part of Resolution
20-421, effective January 1, 2021; and
WHEREAS, employee (including casual employee) eligibility for Washington State
Public Employees Benefits Board ("PEBB") benefits shall be determined pursuant
to the criteria set forth in WAC 182-12-114; and
WHEREAS, to the extent that the health and welfare insurance premiums for
2022 are increasing, the BOCC has decided to increase the employer contribution
in the amount of such increase, up to an additional $50.00 per month per plan
relative to the 2021 employer contribution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Lewis County shall contribute up to an
additional $50.00 per month per plan relative to the 2021 employer contribution
for non-represented employees, the Auditor, Clerk, District Court Judges, Coroner,
County Commissioners and Treasurer. Such contributions may be applied to any
plan offered by Public Employers Benefits Board (PEBB) for which each employee
is eligible and in which they elect to enroll; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the additional employer
contributions for 2022 payroll shall be included on any December 2021 payroll
that includes the new 2022 insurance premiums.
