Dissolve the Lewis County Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Commission BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 22-008
DISSOLVE THE LEWIS COUNTY OUTDOOR
RECREATION AND TOURISM COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Commission
(LCORT) was established via Resolution 20-450 in December 2020; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the input of interested parties in outdoor
recreation and tourism can be obtained through meetings and interactions with
county staff; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County will be directing the efforts of a tourism strategic plan in
the future and involving the community and any interested stakeholders
(including the former members of the LCORT); and
WHEREAS, it seems prudent to await the recommendations of said strategic plan
before developing any formal advisory committees.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Lewis County Board of County
Commissioners hereby dissolves the Lewis County Outdoor Recreation and
Tourism Commission.
