Commissioner Swope made a motion to approve a legal notice for Budget and tax levy hearings.
Commissioner Pollock seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to approve Brian T. Ballton for a Public Facilities District vacancy.
Commissioner Pollock seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
Commissioner Pollock announced at 9:05 a.m. the Board would be in executive session to discuss real
estate under RCW 42.30.110(1)(b) and RCW 42.30.110(1)(c) for 10 minutes.
Executive session began at 9:06 a.m.
At 9:16 a.m. the Board extended executive session for 2 minutes.
At 9:19 a.m. the Board extended executive session for 5 minutes.
Executive session ended at 9:23 a.m. Commissioner Pollock announced that no decisions had been
made.
Commissioner Swope wanted to speak about his experience helping respond to the scene of a car
accident on Friday, November 12, 2021. There was great effort and coordination to rescue people in
extreme circumstances. He wanted to ensure that the Board and others understand the importance of
good working equipment needed for the Sheriff’s deputies. Commissioner Pollock noted the
importance of good equipment.
