Approving two-year extension to agreement with Butler Amusements Inc. to provide carnival activities at the SWWF AGREEMENT TO EXERCISE THE TWO YEAR EXTENSION OPTION
OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN BUTLER AMUSEMENTS INC AND LEWIS COUNTY
Butler Amusements, hereinafter called CONTRACTOR, and LEWIS COUNTY,hereinafter called COUNTY
agree to extend for two years(2023-2024 Southwest Washington Fairs inclusive)the term of the
agreement entered into by the parties on February 7,2018.
All references to Lewis County are deemed to mean Lewis County Parks& Recreation,as during 2021
the Southwest Washington Fair became organizationally under the Lewis County Parks&Recreation
Department. The official executing this Agreement for Lewis County is now the "Director of Lewis
County Parks& Recreation",who is the current signature authority and contact replacing any references
to "fair manager"or"Director of the Lewis County Department of Central Services" in the 2018 contract.
The parties further mutually agree that the 2018 agreement may be extended for an additional two year
term past the termination of this extension if one party, in writing,makes a request within sixty(60)
days of December 31, 2024 and the other party agrees to the extension, in writing. All terms of the
2018 agreement that are modified by the exercise of this additional option shall be stated in writing and
executed by signature of each party.
