Eric Eisenberg presented a draft Housing initiative and housing plan initiative. He discussed the team of
county employees meeting weekly to discuss how to move forward with a housing plan.
Eric said he would like the commissioners to pass the plan via resolution.
Commissioner Swope said he’d like the plan to include a rent analysis.
Eric said he will add information about working with community stakeholders, such as the chambers of
commerce and the Economic Alliance.
The commissioners discussed bills before the Legislature.
Eric noted that the goal is to improve access to housing.
The group discussed the metrics by which success could be measured.
At 2:19 p.m., Commissioner Pollock announced that the Board would be going into executive session
under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) for 15 minutes to discuss the following:
• Salary Commission
• Attorney General Office’s ballot synopsis
• Point Blank Timber sale appeal
• Water District No. 2 v. Lewis County
Executive session started at 2:20 p.m.
At 2:35 p.m., the Board extended executive session for 5 minutes.
At 2:40 p.m., the Board extended executive session for 5 minutes.
At 2:45 p.m., the Board extended executive session for 5 minutes.
At 2:50 p.m., the Board extended executive session for 2 minutes.
At 2:52 p.m., the Board extended executive session for 2 minutes.
Executive session ended at 2:54 p.m. Commissioner Pollock noted that no decisions had been made.
