WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has
reviewed Agreement #22-46108-18 Amendment B, Consolidated Homeless Grant,
between Lewis County and Washington State Department of Commerce
Community Services and Housing Division; and
WHEREAS, additional funding is available in the amount of $135,323 for a total
budget of $3,098,937 to provide for case management, shelter, permanent
supportive housing, prevention, rapid rehousing, and housing & essential needs to
those who are literally homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness in Lewis
County; and
WHEREAS, this amendment also adds a line item for standard rapid re-housing
admin funds, standard rapid re-housing rent/facility lease funds, standard rapid
re-housing other rent/facility lease and housing cost funds, and standard
operational funds; and
WHEREAS, the agreement will be effective from July 1, 2021, through June 30,
2023; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution
of said contract for Lewis County.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Agreement #22-46108-18 Amendment
B between Washington State Department of Commerce and Lewis County to add
funding in the amount of $135,323 for a total budget of $3,098,937 from July 1,
2021, through June 30, 2023, is hereby approved; and the Director of Public
Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the same.
