Matt Jaeger discussed a resolution to authorize the Director of Information Technology Services to execute a purchase order with Dell Inc. Chris Panush discussed a resolution to approve a Collective Bargaining Agreement between Lewis County and Teamsters 252, representing the Sheriff's Operations Sergeants Group, for calendar years 2022-2025. Austin Majors discussed a resolution to adopt the 2022 Lewis County Communication Plan. Commissioner Swope joined at 9:07 a.m. Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to reappoint three individuals to the East Lewis County Public Development Authority (ELCDPA) Board of Directors. Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to approve an addendum to a .09 (Distressed Counties) grant awarded to UW under Resolution 19-237. Dianne Dorey discussed a hearing to approve an open space land designation and assessed value reduction for Parcel No. 032800000000. Dianne said the property is at the Mill Pond in Onalaska. Commissioner Grose made a motion to move one notice item, two consent items, five deliberation items and one hearing to the Tuesday, March 29, 2022, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0. Rieva Lester noted that Public Health and Social Services would have a late add for a resolution COVID-19 JP provided the following statistics for the most recent reporting week of March 11-17: • 16 new cases • Five new hospitalizations • One new death Announcements Doug Carey said parking will be disrupted as the county completes work on the new campus. JP said Alison Puckett will leave effective March 25. Patrick Shults discussed upcoming WSU Extension classes. Wednesday Workshop Night-by-night shelter: Commissioner Swope said a forum regarding the proposed night-by-night shelter will take place March 31. Public Works chipseal projects: Josh Metcalf said the county will find funding to perform all of the chipseal work that had been planned for 2022. As part of that, he said, Public Works will postpone its Howe Road project until 2023. Lee Napier said affordable housing will be the topic of the Packwood Housing Summit planned for March 24. Steve Wohld said the Lewis County museum has asked for the county’s help to install fencing to protect the site at night. He said the Chehalis Renaissance Team has pledged $1,000. Calendars Commissioner Pollock and Commissioner Grose said they likely will miss the April 1 Mayors’ Meeting. Connie Riker said the Fair Board will meet March 29. Commissioner Swope said he would attend the March 24 Timber Counties meeting in Commissioner Grose’s place. Meeting ended at 9:45 a.m.
