Commissioner Pollock seconded. Motion passed 2-0. Investments, including those for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding: Rodney Reynolds said the county has roughly $7.2 million invested in the LGIP. He suggested reinvesting at least a portion of the ARPA funds into two-year bonds to take advantage of the better yields available. The commissioners said they would revisit the topic once Commissioner Swope returns. DNR timberlands: Commissioner Grose said the DNR has proposed a carbon-offset plan that would freeze the timber harvests in counties that have trust lands. Abatement: At 9:14 a.m., Commissioner Pollock announced that the Board was going into Executive Session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) for 10 minutes to discuss the potential abatement of a property. Executive Session started at 9:15 a.m. • At 9:25 a.m., the Board extended Executive Session 3 minutes. • At 9:28 a.m., the Board extended Executive Session 3 minutes. • At 9:31 a.m., the Board extended Executive Session 3 minutes. Executive Session ended at 9:34 a.m. Commissioner Pollock noted that no decisions had been made. Commissioner Grose made a motion to approve the minute folder for the week of April 11, 2022. Commissioner Pollock seconded. Motion passed 2-0. Calendars: The commissioners discussed their calendars. Correspondence: Commissioner Grose said he fielded a call from a property owner who is in a dispute with an adjacent property owner. He asked Erik Martin to look into it. Meeting ended at 9:41 a.m.
