Authorize additional funds to Parks & Recreation Dept Revolving Account for starting cash change for events BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 22-193 AUTHORIZE ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO THE PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT REVOLVING ACCOUNT FOR STARTING CASH CHANGE FOR EVENTS WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Department currently has a Revolving Account that keeps a small balance; and WHEREAS, the department has found the amount to be insufficient at times to prepare the change fund for gates and parking needs during various events hosted during the year; and WHEREAS, the department needs a temporary increase in the Revolving Account in order to sponsor events at various times during the year. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners authorizes temporary bank transfers in an amount up to $7,500.00 from the Treasurer's Office to the Revolving Account to be used by the Parks & Recreation Department during hosted events during the next five years; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said temporary increase in funds to the Revolving Account shall be returned to the Treasurer's Office no later than 30 days after said transfer. During the year, the Department hosts various events where the need for available cash for the event is necessary to provide change for parking and/or admission. This resolution allows for temporary cash transfers in the amount not to exceed $7,500 for a period of up to 30 days to be used for the starting cash necessary to provide change for these events. Generally, the revenue deposited into this account is transferred out shortly after the event by the Treasurer's Office. This is a repeat of Resolution 15-114, which covered the five-year period between 2015 and 2020.
