Approve Amendment C to contract #20-04613C-116 between WA State Department of Commerce and Lewis County PHSS. BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 22-206 APPROVE AMENDMENT C TO CONTRACT #20-04613C-116 BETWEEN WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND LEWIS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has reviewed the contract 20-04613C-116 with Department of Commerce through the Emergency Solutions Grant COVID-19 to move funds from the Shelter Operations line item to the Outreach line item in efforts to extend the Seasonal Weather Shelter that is currently being run by The Salvation Army, in order to bridge the gap between the Seasonal Weather Shelter and a near year-round Night-by-Night Shelter opening in accordance with our 5-year strategic housing plan; and WHEREAS, these funds are to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus pandemic among individuals and families who are homeless and receiving homeless assistance; and WHEREAS, this amendment moves $195,000 from a combination of line items #5, 6, 7, 9 and 10 to the Shelter Operations line item #4, and moves $96,030.50 from line items #8 to the Outreach line item #2; and WHEREAS, Amendment C modifies Contract 20-4613C-116, which the BOCC approved via Resolution 20-285 and amended via Resolutions 20-419 and 22-102; and WHEREAS, the original contract duration was July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, and this Amendment C is for the duration of July 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023; and WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Amendment C to contract 20-04613C-116 between Lewis County and Washington State Department of Commerce through Emergency Solutions Grant COVID-19 to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus pandemic among individuals and families who are homeless and receiving homeless assistance from July 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023 is hereby approved, and the Interim Director of Public Health and Social Services is authorized to sign the same.
