WHEREAS, a call for bids was issued June 30, 2022, for the 2022 Countywide
Miscellaneous Safety & Guardrail Project, CRP 2195; and
WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows:

WHEREAS, Petersen Brothers Inc. provided the lowest responsive bid quote of
$154,335.34 for the 2022 Countywide Miscellaneous Safety & Guardrail Project,
CRP 2195.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the 2022 Countywide
Miscellaneous Safety & Guardrail Project, CRP 2195 shall be awarded to Petersen
Brothers Inc. in the amount of $154,335.34 upon the execution of a contract
acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of
such a contract, the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.

A call for bids for the 2022 Countywide Miscellaneous Safety & Guardrail Project, CRP 2195 was
made on June 30, 2022. The project was advertised in the Chronicle, the Seattle Daily Journal of
Commerce, and Lewis County's website. Public Works received four bids for this project on July 14,
2022. Petersen Brothers, Inc. provided the lowest responsive bid of $154,335.34. The engineer's
estimate was $209,192.50. Public Works staff recommends acceptance of the low bid provided by
Petersen Brothers, Inc.
