NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE 2022 ANNUAL
CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM (ACP) AND
2022-2027 SIX YEAR TRANSPORTATION
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP)
WHEREAS, RCW 36.81.121 requires the legislative authority of each county to
prepare and adopt a transportation improvement program that includes proposed
road and bridge construction work for the ensuing six calendar years and further
stipulates that revisions be approved only after a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the 2022 ACP and 2022-2027 Six Year TIP for road and bridge
construction were adopted by Resolution 21-412 on November 23, 2021; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to amend the 2022 ACP and 2022-2027 Six Year TIP to
reflect a recent award of Surface Transportation Program Bridge (STP(BR)) funding
for the Senn MP 0.89 Bridge Scour project, Wildwood MP 10.14 Bridge Scour
project, Davison Road MP 0.01 Bridge Rehabilitation project, and Preventative
Bridge Maintenance project. Funding for the projects include: a federal funding
award of $8,878,120 and a county matching requirement of $250,497, for total
project costs of $9,128,617; and
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of July 2022, the proposed amendments to the 2022
ACP and 2022-2027 Six Year TIP were submitted to the office of the Board of
County Commissioners (BOCC) of Lewis County Washington; and
WHEREAS, the 2022 ACP and 2022-2027 Six Year TIP reports and all related
materials have been reviewed by the BOCC and found appropriate for further
proceedings.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 16th day of August 2022 at or
after the hour of 10:00 AM, in the Commissioners Hearing Room on the 2nd floor
of the Historic Courthouse in Chehalis, Washington has been fixed by the BOCC as
the time and place for the hearing on amending the 2022 ACP and 2022-2027 Six-
Year TIP, when and where all persons may appear and be heard upon the
programs; and that the Clerk of the BOCC is hereby instructed to proceed with all
necessary notifications, posting and publication.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners, Lewis County,
Washington, proposes to adopt the Amended 2022 through 2027 Six-Year Transportation
Improvement Program and Annual Construction Program for 2022, on Tuesday, August
16, 2022, on or after 10:00 a.m. at the Lewis County Courthouse, County Commissioners'
Hearing Room, 351 NW North Street, Chehalis, Washington, at which time and place any
person may appear to be heard, either for or against the adoption of the proposed plan.
A draft plan will be available by requesting a copy from Lewis County Public Works at
(360) 740-1123.
