Mackey Smith laid out the plan for the next two days of strategic planning and how the plan will be built
and completed.
Expectations and topics for the two-day workshop (Aug. 9 and 10) were discussed.
There was discussion about the Public Outreach and the PowerPoint was reviewed with the board.
The Lewis County mission statement was discussed.
The group discussed strategic imperatives that the county and community must execute successful to
call a 20-year plan a success.
The commissioners took a recess at 3:09 p.m. They came back in session at 3:25 p.m.
The commissioners discussed their goals for long-range strategic planning.
Major areas of consideration in the plan were discussed.
The board discussed what types of metrics for each area of consideration will be used to determine the
success of the plan.
