Carol Brock provided attendance information for the area senior centers. The Lewis County Seniors
served approximately 15,000 meals from January through July. Carol said Lewis County Seniors group
was awarded a grant for $225,000. This is payable in three installments.
Carol said there was a seven cent increase per meal provided to the Lewis County Seniors group from
the Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging (LMTAAA) effective April 1, 2022.
Carol said recent events have helped in fundraising for the group. Carol said the next event is the Night
of Magic on October 22, 2022, at the Loft. The event will include raffles, dinner and drinks. Carol
introduced new Board members Nicole Barr and Judy Barr.
Carol said the Lewis County Seniors group completed their annual audit with the LMTAAA recently and
she said there were minimal findings that have been corrected.
Carol said they will be receiving bingo equipment from the Forest-Napavine Grange. She said once the
equipment is received, there will be occasional bingo events for the community to enjoy.
