Directors’ Update items
Doug Carey discussed a call for bids for Masonry Restoration of the Historic Lewis County Courthouse,
Project #31-2218.
Matt Jaeger discussed a resolution to approve Interlocal agreements between Lewis County and Area
Emergency Response Agencies Regarding Technology Services.
John Clark discussed a resolution to approve an acoustic materials contract for 57 W Main.
Mindy Brooks discussed a resolution to reappoint Jason Alves to the Lewis County Planning Commission.
Rocky Lyon discussed a resolution to approve a rental agreement between Lewis County and Solid
Waste Disposal District #1 of Lewis County for the East Lewis County Transfer Station and authorizing
signature thereon.
Rocky Lyon discussed a resolution to approve a rental agreement between Lewis County and Solid
Waste Disposal District #1 of Lewis County for the Central Transfer Station.
Steve Wohld and Amber Smith discussed a resolution to approve a collective bargaining agreement
between Lewis County and the Lewis County Deputies Guild from December 2022 through December
2025.

The commissioners noted that Warren McLeod was not present to discuss his resolutions:
• One to approve a contract with e-Care Mortuary.
• One to approve contracts with Pacific Northwest Forensic Pathologists, P.S.
• One to approve a contract with Weeks Mortuary dba Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary.
John Clark discussed a resolution to approve a Flooring Contract for Public Works Administration
Building located at 57 W Main.
John Clark discussed a resolution to approve a contract to purchase concrete for 57 W Main Public
Works Office Project.
Mindy Brooks discussed a hearing to adopt Ordinance 1340 to amend Chapter 17.12, Public
Participation Program, and Chapter 17.05, General Provisions, of the Lewis County Code.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to move one notice item, two consent items, 13 deliberation
items and one hearing to the Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Brummer seconded
the motion. Motion passed 3-0.
Announcements
Lee Napier reminded the group about the Dec. 16 Tour of Lights Christmas decorations. Lee also noted
that Community Development will close early on Dec. 30 to allow for year-end work.
Erik Martin reminded the group about the Dec. 14 Legislative Roundtable.
Wednesday Workshop
Public Health and Social Services - changes to hours of operation: Meja Handlen provided updates on
Public Health and Social Services hours.
Ordinance 1340 to amend Chapter 17.12, Public Participation Program, and Chapter 17.05, General
Provisions, of the Lewis County Code: Mindy Brooks provided an overview of the ordinance changes,
noting that they are designed to clean up the process.
Mindy said the ordinance:
• Updates the name of chapter
• Clarifies Type V actions
• Makes 17.12 stand alone
• Streamlines verbiage
• Adds information outlining the docketing process
• Does away with physical copies of materials (unless requested)
Calendars: Commissioner Swope said Cascade Community Health will hold its Legislative Roundtable
later in the day. He also said the Sports Hub is holding its Business Week on Dec. 15.
