GMP Consultants President Greg Prothman provided information regarding his GMP Consultants team:
Senior Consultant Debbie Tarry, Content Designer Sarah Marsh and Recruitment Coordinator Kate
Hansen. The commissioners asked Greg to use Daleyn Coleman and Steve Wohld as GMP’s points of
contact.
The group reviewed the schedule:
• GMP creates profile
• GMP advertises position
• GMP reviews applications and narrows pool
• GMP interviews top candidates
• Commissioners review GMP’s overview of finalists
• Commissioners hold final interviews
The commissioners said they want the decision to be an internal process.
Greg asked the county to provide information regarding the following:
• Conference / vacation schedules.
• Paragraph outlining what the new County Manager will face in the first six months of the
position, such as 911 governance, the overnight shelter and the animal shelter.
• A list of who GMP should reach out to, including directors and the electeds. The commissioners
suggested a Zoom meeting with the directors and Grace Jimenez and a Zoom meeting with the
electeds. They also discussed inviting the city managers for Centralia and Chehalis to weigh in.
Greg said he would like to advertise nationwide and send letters of invitation, at a cost of up to $2,000.
Greg requested Steve Wohld and Daleyn Coleman provide information required for the job posting by
the end of the week. He said he will work with HR to come up with a salary recommendation, noting
that the salary likely should be increased.
